Arson attack during the night in Assemini, the Antique Cafè bar in via Carmine was targeted .

Around 2am someone poured flammable liquid on the shutter, started the fire and ran away.

In an instant the flames enveloped the shutter and spread inside the room . Luckily the residents of the area noticed it and raised the alarm.

The firefighters had to work for several hours to put out the fire and make the area safe, but the damage to the premises, which has not yet been quantified, appears to be very extensive .

The carabinieri of the Assemini station intervened on site together with their colleagues from the Radiomobile of the Cagliari Company. Investigations have begun to track down those responsible, and footage has been taken from cameras in the area which may have filmed the various phases of the attack .
