Arrested for beating his wife with a glass bottle: the man took his own life at Brotzu
He launched from the seventh floor of the hospital, where he had been hospitalized for a tendon injury, 24 hours after being arrested
The man arrested yesterday by the carabinieri for mistreating his wife committed suicide.
The detainee, of Filipino nationality but for years in Cagliari, threw himself from the seventh floor of the Brotzu, the hospital where he was hospitalized after the events that took place between Friday and Saturday.
Around 2 am, the military arrived at his home after reporting violence against a woman. Her husband, according to what was reconstructed by the carabinieri, had repeatedly hit her with a glass bottle.
The victim had been transported to Brotzu and hospitalized with various injuries. Even the torturer was injured and for this reason, after a first visit to the polyclinic of Monserrato, he was transported to the Brotzu for tendon surgery.
Twenty-four hours later, the tragic ending: the man decided to end it and threw himself. Help was useless, he died instantly.
