The first bans arrive in view of the Armed Forces Day, which will be celebrated in Cagliari for the first time. The President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, is also expected in the city on November 4th, who will have the Minister of Defense Guido Crosetto at his side on the authorities' dais. The presence of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is likely: her arrival in the city depends on the evolution of the crisis in the Near East, with the war between Israel and Palestine which risks setting fire to other countries too, with Iran and Lebanon in the lead.

The celebrations will be held at the port. And this is why starting today the internal road that runs along the Lungomare 11 Settembre has been banned: the ban was imposed to allow the setting up of the stands intended to host the representatives of the institutions who will attend the parade.

Just a parking ban, for now. But the first of a long series of measures, more or less penetrating, that will be adopted to guarantee safety during the celebrations.

The Cagliari event has been confirmed, while the collateral event planned at the Circus Maximus in Rome has been cancelled: "For security reasons", well-informed sources from the Ministry of Defense said yesterday.

In recent days Crosetto had expressed fears of attacks or sensational demonstrations, precisely because of the clash in the Strip. In the Prefecture, technicians are working to secure the event with a view of the sea. More details will be known in the next few days, after meetings with managers and officials of the Municipality.
