A frightening fire destroyed the hay reserve of the Arborea Producers' Cooperative , where the calves are reared and fattened before being sent to the meat market.

In the fire, apparently caused by a malfunction of the photovoltaic system, a shed and twenty thousand quintals of hay were destroyed, for a damage of about one million euros.

Great fear for the fate of 2,200 calves, destined for fattening , which were rescued by the operators present on the farm at that time.

On the spot, several teams of Oristano firefighters who prevented the flames from spreading.
