The funeral of Angela Scanu, the 57-year-old businesswoman who passed away on Monday evening in her residence in Cagliari after a period of illness, took place this afternoon in Arbatax .
The mass was celebrated in the church of Stella Maria where, forty years ago, Angela Scanu married Giorgio Mazzella, tourist entrepreneur and owner of the Arbatax Park resort complex. A crowd of people wanted to accompany the coffin of the businesswoman , former president of the Intesa Sanpaolo Territorial Council, on its last journey.
The community rallied around her husband, her son Attilio, her daughter-in-law Delara and her grandchildren. Shortly after 4pm the coffin, wrapped in a multi-floral cushion, left the church square.
