According to weather forecasts, the fourth heat wave will last at least ten days and will see temperatures peak at 40 degrees Celsius in many Italian cities. This is all due to the African anticyclone, which, by one degree per day, will cause temperatures to rise from the current 37 degrees Celsius to the extreme highs of 41 degrees Celsius expected for Sunday, accompanied by oppressive heat along the coasts, even at night.

According to 3Bmeteo.com, a general increase in temperatures is underway in Sardinia, which will lead to a new heat wave . Meanwhile, Cagliari, according to the bulletin released by the Ministry of Health, has already been marked today among the cities with an orange warning, meaning "high temperatures that can have negative effects on health." This is one step below the red warning for a heat wave.

Rising temperatures in Sardinia also mean a heightened fire risk. According to the regional civil protection bulletin, the island's map shows a medium "yellow" fire risk for the day, with a "strengthened" risk in the central and northern regions.

However, the risks on this front could increase in the coming days. The European Union Emergency Response Coordination Centre (ERCC) raised the alarm yesterday. Since August 6, forecasts have been signaling "extreme risk, particularly in Sardinia."
