" Today I understood how much life can change in a second. One moment you are driving, the next you feel the impact. The airbag explodes, the noise deafens you, you close your eyes... and for a moment you think it's over . That maybe you will never open them again. And instead you open them again. You are alive. Whole ." Thus begins the long post by Andrea Piras, provincial coordinator of the UDC and former city councilor of Cagliari.
A long reflection entrusted, in the last hours, to social media, to tell the risk taken, the fear experienced and perhaps still not completely overcome.
And to express gratitude, for still being here to tell the story, perhaps also thanks to the intercession of someone who, he explains, from above, perhaps thought it wasn't yet time to call him to himself. " I got away with 5 days of rest. No serious injuries. Just a lot of gratitude, " Piras continues. "In the silence after the crash, when I felt alone in the car, a person came up to me and said, 'God is with you.' And I really felt it. I felt that Someone had protected me. That it wasn't my time yet. It's not just luck. Today I believe that God saved me."
Then the conclusion with the invitation to be cautious: "Sometimes it takes a moment to understand how fragile everything is. And how every single breath is a gift. Take care of yourself and don't take anything for granted ."
For him, many messages of encouragement and a speedy recovery.
