The community of Porto Torres gathers around the children of Ana Cristina Duarte Correia, the 38-year-old woman of Brazilian origins, stabbed to death by her husband, the 54-year-old driver Ezio Di Levrano, in the Pesaro area , on the night between 6 and 7 September.

Yet another femicide committed in front of her three children aged 14, 12 and 6 , now entrusted to a reception facility. The woman lived for many years in Porto Torres, the city where she kept in touch and where the children attended school .

The solidarity initiative was started by Don Michele Murgia , the parish priest of the church of Cristo Risorto, who, with the support of Mayor Massimo Mulas, has started a fundraiser . "Dear brothers and sisters," reads the note released by the parish, "in the face of news stories that have violently plunged our community into pain , I have accepted the invitation of many to coordinate an initiative to support Ana Cristina's three children , knowing that in circumstances like this, no loving gesture will ever be inappropriate or superfluous, although no one will be able to give back to these children the immense good that was so barbarously taken from them: the deep and tireless love of a sweet and strong mother like Ana."

The fundraiser will serve to support the three boys' basic needs . "I am certain, as I have seen in the past, that people's generosity," adds Don Murgia, "will have no uncertainties or limits."
