An expert assessment will be carried out on the yacht moored in Marina di Portisco, Olbia, where Giovanni Marchionni, a 21-year-old from Bacoli (Naples), lost his life on 8 August .

The Tempio Prosecutor's Office ordered the order as part of the manslaughter proceedings against unknown persons initiated in the tragedy. The order will be issued at 3:00 PM on August 22nd at the Prosecutor's Office.

The unique technical investigation will focus, among other things, on the battery compartment and the waste water tank . Attorney Maurizio Capozzo, representing the victim's family, has announced his intention to appoint a consultant, as he did for the autopsy, which did not clarify the cause of death . The owners of the speedboat are represented by attorney Sebastiano Giaquinto.

Meanwhile, the results of toxicological and histological tests are awaited to clarify the cause of death. INAIL is also involved in the matter, having opened an investigation to determine whether the young man was aboard the yacht on vacation or whether, as his family, friends, and the mayor of Bacoli, Josi Gerardo della Ragione, maintain, he was working as a skipper .

And the mayor himself once again weighed in on the matter, reiterating: "We've been saying it for days: this is a workplace death. Some wanted to dismiss it as a tragedy that happened to a young man on vacation, but it's a shameful story that no one believes anymore . I have complete confidence in the work of the Tempio Pausania Public Prosecutor's Office. Prosecutor Gregorio Capasso has reassured us that all the necessary investigations and activities are underway to reconstruct the exact circumstances that led to Giovanni Marchionni's death. The truth will come out soon ."
