An ambulance was set on fire late yesterday evening in Sassari, in the Caniga area.

The firefighters intervened around 11.30 pm for the extinguishing operations during which foam was also used to prevent the fire from involving other rescue vehicles.

The area was then made safe.

The men of the state police were present to investigate the episode, a real attack carried out by unknown persons against the voluntary association Soccorso Sant'Anna in the headquarters in via Marcello Lelli.
