Flurry of anti-drug checks by the police in Cagliari and its province during the nightlife of the Christmas holidays.

At the Cagliari Fair, sixteen young people were reported - aged between 18 and 37 - found in possession of narcotic substances (cocaine, hashish and marijuana) during a control device implemented at the gates by the Financial Police, with also the help of the dogs of the canine units.

The Fiamme Gialle bloodhounds also identified other drugs, probably abandoned by customers in the area at the sight of the control device. The substances were seized.

In Maracalagonis, however, the carabinieri of the Selargius station reported a 19-year-old, found in possession, during a search, of almost a hectare and a half of marijuana, a precision electronic scale and 184 euros in cash, proceeds from drug dealing activities.

The checks, it is announced, will continue in the next few days, further intensifying on New Year's Eve.
