440 thousand euros to complete the cycle path that runs from the seafront to the Calich lagoon. Today, in the presence of the designers and the president of the Porto Conte Park, Raimondo Tilloca, the work was delivered to the successful tenderer, the CLM company of Orosei. The estimated time to complete the works is 100 days.

The intention is to create a link road between the cycle path of viale Primo Maggio and viale Burruni, through the sports area of Maria Pia. This will therefore allow, through "slow" mobility, to reach the wet area of the Calich where there are already nature trails and areas for wildlife observation and recreation. Furthermore, the construction of a small rest area is planned, still on viale Burruni near the secondary access to the Palazzo dei Congressi, functional for the use of the natural paths along the Calich bank and a connection to the coast road for Fertilia.

"Thanks to this intervention - comments the president of the Porto Conte Park Raimondo Tilloca - it will be possible to reach from the city, along the city cycle path, the first outpost of our protected area, that is the Calich lagoon which has already offered places of interesting leisure for some time and enjoyment of the naturalistic beauties of this important wetland at the entrance to the city and qualified by the European Union as a special protection area pursuant to the Birds Directive».
