Dialysis three times a week. This is already a difficult condition, but for Fabrizio it is even more complicated. The 27-year-old, following an injury, suffered a fractured femur and has therefore been immobilized in bed since the beginning of June: «He can't find any first aid association that can make an ambulance available to take him by ambulance to Alghero » explains Desirè Manca who made the young man's situation known.

«There is a lot of concern in this boy's house – where Manca, a regional councilor of the 5 Star Movement, visited in person – because the care cannot be sacrificed in any way. Fabrizio must be able to do dialysis three times a week. This is why I want to launch an appeal to all the first aid associations in the Alghero area so that a solution can be found and some volunteers make themselves available."

«In recent months he has been lucky enough to have met Franco, a man who has taken his situation to heart and who, having managed to borrow an ambulance, accompanies him to the hospital for dialysis. But from September 30th this vehicle will have to be returned, so the problem arises again."

The councilor also presented an urgent question to the Health Councilor to find out the reasons why some chronically ill patients, unable to reach places of treatment, run the risk of remaining without assistance.

«The doctors of the Alghero Dialysis department – says Manca – were very helpful and communicated that the days and times in which Fabrizio will be able to do dialysis will be flexible, so as to allow volunteers and those who make themselves available, more possibilities».

«Nowadays in Sardinia when we talk about health problems it is never anyone's fault. However - he concludes - I will work, at all levels, to urge those responsible and be able to resolve this problem as soon as possible".
