In Alghero, the robber wearing a Dalí mask tried to strike again but was chased away by the owner of the Pergola tobacconist, Piero Daga.
It happened around 7:30 PM when Daga noticed the man, his face disguised by the mask, and didn't let himself be surprised: in a lightning-fast movement, he grabbed a carton of cigarettes and punched him in the face, forcing him to flee. The masked individual then took off in a headlong rush toward the Maria Pia pine forest, disappearing without a trace. Law enforcement officers also arrived on the scene and began searching the area.
