Alghero, bulldozer on the beach: environmental havoc in Porto Conte
A path has been created along the environmentally protected beach. The nearby hotel authorized to clean the seagrass but the vehicle went furtherThe signs of the bulldozer are still evident on the shore of the pebble beach in the bay of Porto Conte , in Alghero , in the heart of the Porto Conte Regional Park .
It was a mechanical vehicle that created a path about three meters wide and a hundred meters long, completely disfiguring the landscape subject to environmental protection . Barracelli, Forestry Corps and Porto Conte Park carried out an inspection.
From an initial investigation, it emerged that the hotel , a stone's throw from the Sant'Imbenia complex, was authorized exclusively to clear the seagrass from the concession area intended for deckchairs and umbrellas. Evidently the bulldozer has gone much further.
