For the Sardinian Reformers it is a historic event for the city. «Alghero leaves Arst to join ATP Sassari», reports group leader Alberto Bamonti. The municipal council, in fact, expressed itself clearly in the last session by unanimously voting on the agenda presented by the councilor of the Reformers which provides for the entry of the Alghero municipality into a consortium urban transport system, abandoning the Arst service .

«The Piras councilor himself and the opposition municipal councilors have recognized the validity of my proposal – comments the exponent of the Reformers – considering that the public service currently offered by Arst does not reflect the needs of a city like Alghero and its territory as well as of its role as an international tourist resort".

An urban transport service judged to be lacking in connections between the villages and the urban centre, but also due to the absence of signs with the necessary information and adequate shelters in various points of the city. These are some of the problems denounced several times by the city councilor and city coordinator of the Reformers who now trusts in a strong and clear position from the municipal administration. «We can no longer tolerate inconveniences and a local public transport service that is not up to par, the time has come for our Municipality to enter into an autonomous local and/or consortium company which would guarantee the organization of an urban transport system capable of greater functionality, efficiency and satisfaction for citizens".
