Alghero, alarm goes off at the airport: flights diverted during the night

The alarm for a hypothetical fire in the control tower of Alghero airport forced the airport to suspend operations for about an hour.
The episode occurred around 11pm yesterday, Tuesday, when an automatic signal activated the safety procedures required in the event of an emergency, temporarily forcing the suspension of airport operations.
Flight delays and inconvenience for passengers despite no smoke or flames being detected inside the structure. Firefighters and technical staff immediately took action to carry out the necessary checks, while incoming flights from Bologna and Madrid were diverted to Cagliari.
For those same destinations , travelers were able to leave only after 1 a.m. In the end, it seems that the problem arose from a malfunctioning elevator.
