Ales: Not enough blood in the test tube for the test, skips the rheumatology visit
A new blood test is scheduled, in the meantime the doctor brings forward the visit and the dates are incompatible: "We're going to San Raffaele in Milan, for a fee"Per restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
The blood in the test tube was not enough to perform the test, which is why the patient had to return to the analysis center to repeat the sampling again . With all the inconveniences that this entails. The story comes from the province of Oristano, from Ales to be exact.
This is where the sample was taken and then sent to the laboratories of the ASL of Oristano, in the hospital. The person reporting the singular case is the trade unionist Marco Efisio Pisanu , employee of the personnel office of Ares and company manager of Cisl Fp. The “victim” is his wife, who was supposed to have a rheumatological visit (for which the waiting time is about 8 months), next October 8th.
And she should have brought the tests prescribed by the specialist by this date. "Following the rheumatologist's suggestions, my wife took the blood sample on September 2, as some tests require about 25 days to be processed ," Pisanu explains. "But on September 23, she received a phone call from the analysis laboratory in Oristano: they invited her to come back to them the next day, as the sample taken contained an insufficient amount of blood to perform the requested test."
The woman explained that the results of the tests would be needed for October 8, because she would have to present them to the rheumatologist. "She received reassurances from the laboratory, with the promise that she would have the results by that date," Pisanu explains. "Always following the specialist's suggestions, an X-ray had also been booked for Wednesday, October 2." Adding insult to injury. "We had not expected a further phone call from the ASL offices," Pisanu explains. "This time my wife was contacted by the CUP employee, who communicated that the visit with the rheumatologist would be brought forward to September 30, as the specialist would have to be away on vacation. My wife explained to the operator that due to the mix-up with the analysis laboratory and the X-ray booked for October 2, it would not be possible to bring forward the visit." Well, or rather, badly: «She was told that the new check-up would then be scheduled for May 2025. We booked a paid visit at the San Raffaele in Milan ».
