The new mayor of the Youth Council in Aidomaggiore has been elected : Giorgia Marras.

During the inauguration ceremony, the mayor thanked her colleagues and voters, emphasizing how this role represents for her and her peers "a great opportunity for growth and responsibility towards the community."

Leading the "United for Aidomaggiore" group, the mayor will also oversee the delegation for Relations with Bodies and Institutions and Education. She will be joined by Deputy Mayor Francesco Virdis, with responsibility for Culture and Assistance to Youth and the Elderly. The team is rounded out by Alessia Catarinangeli (Environment), Eleonora Marras (Sport), and Marta Muroni (Games and Leisure).

The new mayor emphasized the importance of working to create an inclusive community, committed to collaboration and mutual respect.

"I will try to fulfill the role entrusted to me to the best of my ability and be an example and inspiration for all the young people of Aidomaggiore," said Giorgia Marras.

An active citizenship project in the town led by Mayor Antonello Virdis. He and his supporters include school principal Bonacattu Brasu and Professor Mario Di Rubbo, the initiative's promoters. Alongside the group led by Giorgia Marras, Ilenia Ardu and Michela Masia also presented their program, placing support for the elderly, the valorization of traditions, the maintenance of public spaces, and the promotion of the area's historical beauties at the heart of their proposal.

"There will be many opportunities to demonstrate our commitment and desire to succeed," they said, "and we are ready to contribute ideas and proposals to improve our community."

The experience of the Youth Council in Aidomaggiore thus confirms itself as a laboratory of democracy and participation, capable of shaping the citizens of tomorrow.
