«The Brotzu will continue without any interruption to guarantee the services for the small patients of the Microcitemico». With these words, the director general of Arnas, Agnese Foddis, reassured the families of the many children hospitalized in the Cao hospital in Cagliari .

The alarm was raised by the regional councilor of Possibile, Maria Laura Orrù: "The reports denouncing a progressive weakening of the health services provided to small citizens and their families are on the agenda", she denounced yesterday, adding that today «the memorandum of understanding between Brotzu and the local health authority of Cagliari aimed at regulating relations and guaranteeing continuity of services paid by Brotzu, pending the definitive organization of the corporate structure, when the spin-off will become truly effective would have expired». In summary: some specialist services are guaranteed by the doctors in Piazzale Ricchi. And according to Orrù they risk failing.

Foddis, in a note, wants to «reassure the children being treated and their families on the fact that, despite the agreement with ASL Cagliari, to which the Microcitemico belongs, expires today, no services will be interrupted. Interlocutions are underway with the management of the Cagliari local health authority for the extension of the agreement on the services that our company provides to the children's hospital, but in the meantime the services will continue to be provided by our professionals as has been done throughout 2022".
