Natural pools stormed after the photos posted on social media. A few shots posted in early August were enough to reveal a real corner of paradise in Ussassai , the natural pool of S'Ogliu Ermanu , on the Rio Perda.

The situation has become unmanageable for the municipal administration, so much so that the mayor Francesco Usai was forced to issue an ordinance for the protection of the territory and to limit access to it.
“We have news that 300 people a day will arrive next weekend with different tour operators - he says -. It is unthinkable that a 4 by 4 meter swimming pool in the town's forest and inserted within a fragile ecosystem, which can be accessed via a very narrow path, could bear this anthropogenic load . There are problems of safety and public hygiene, which is why I had to regulate also by alerting the barracelli, the Municipal Police and the public force ”.
The mayor knows he cannot close access, but he counts "on the correctness of others and on compliance with the rules". A crowd that “has been going on for days”, with tourists “who don't even go to town to have a coffee ”.

The Ussassai Experience association also intervenes on the topic on Facebook, created by three young people from the town to practice hiking in nature, sport and eco-sustainability: “Dear friends, we had never thought of writing such a post but these are difficult days. The pools that we have been trying to protect from mass tourism and selfie lovers for a long time have been 'scorned' for a handful of likes . We are here to enhance the territory, make it known and above all to make it respected. In social media a bit of confusion has arisen but the reality is that a magical place is ruining a fistful of likes. Aware of the value and fragility of the place, we have decided not to contribute to this ecological destruction and we have decided to stop all activities in the area, but we will continue to ensure that it is respected ".
