Another serious injury at work. A 50-year-old worker was injured in the hand during the cleanup outside the Fiume Santo power plant, in the area on the border between Sassari and Porto Torres.

The accident happened this morning, around 10 am, while the worker was engaged in the dismantling of some industrial plants. In particular, he was replacing one of the parts of an excavator's bucket when he suffered a crush fracture in his right hand, with trauma to his fingers and wrist.

The man was immediately rescued by colleagues and handed over to the care of 118 health workers who urgently transferred him in red code, aboard the Sardo Rescue ambulance.

For the CGIL, CISL, UIL unions, the problem of safety in the workplace, on construction sites during subcontracting activities and in contracting companies operating in industrial areas and beyond is once again raised.
