Abandoned cars used as a dormitory, the Local Police intervene in Olbia

They lived in abandoned cars in via dei Lidi, in Olbia , and for about fifteen people the area under an overpass had become a dormitory and home. The hygienic-sanitary conditions of the site required the intervention of the Local Police and the State Police.

The Municipality of Olbia, after a brief negotiation, offered an alternative solution in a reception facility in the city and the Social Services proposal was accepted by ten people. Other homeless people left their cars this afternoon after the intervention of local police officers, who took away the vehicles destined for scrapping.

One person was accompanied to the police station. Now the agents, coordinated by the commander Giovanni Mannoni, are working to trace the subjects who have abandoned the small cars.
