A 51-year-old farmer dies after his tractor overturns between Sennori and Tergu.

A work-related accident occurred in the Tergu countryside, near Nulvi. A 51-year-old farmer from Sennori, Franco Gallittu, lost control of his tractor and crashed into a tree.

The tragedy occurred in the countryside, on provincial road 29, where the Sassari firefighters intervened to rescue the driver of the agricultural vehicle who, following the impact, overturned and fell down a slope.

The rescue and recovery operations to extract the man, who was trapped under the wheels, were complex . The farmer died before being transferred to the Sassari Civil Hospital.

The medical team aboard the Areus air ambulance arrived on the scene and attempted to revive him, but to no avail. The man went into cardiac arrest. Emergency medical services, the Carabinieri, and Spresal personnel were also on site.
