A new centenary in Oristano. Eudige Sanna reached the coveted goal and celebrated together with her daughters Paola and Carla, her nephew Davide and other relatives and friends.

Mayor Massimiliano Sanna also congratulated her, giving her a commemorative plaque.

The centenarian, born in Barumini on 14 December 1923, moved to Oristano in 1951 for study reasons. In 1961 she married Terenzio Orrù, who worked for a long time at the Inspectorate of the Banco di Sardegna.

In her long life, Mrs. Eudige dedicated herself with love to her family. Very religious, she taught catechism in the church of the Immaculate Conception in Barumini, while in Oristano she attended the church of San Sebastiano.

Her hobbies include knitting and cooking which she has now abandoned due to age.

She loves crosswords, books and films «but – as she says – those of the past. The great classics such as “Gone with the Wind” and “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof”. There are very few people today who meet my taste."

Despite some bad fractures suffered in recent years he is in perfect shape. Only Covid has left her with some consequences, but she enjoys enviable health for a centenarian.
