A dramatic turn of events occurred during the one-off technical inspection ordered by prosecutor Milena Aucone aboard the yacht Gravia, seized in the small port of Portisco in Olbia.
This is the boat on which, on August 8th, the lifeless body of the young man from Bacoli Giovanni Marchionni was found.
According to reports, after about thirty minutes of operation of all the yacht's systems, carbon monoxide began to leak from the vessel's battery pack.
Again according to rumors, the emissions would have occurred in quantities exceeding the maximum limits tolerated by law.
Present on the vessel were consultants from the Tempio Prosecutor's Office and those of the parties (for the owner, Anna Di Luggo, who is not under investigation, and for the victim's family).
Compared to last week, the technical checks were carried out with all the yacht's systems in operation and, above all, with the batteries connected to the marina's electrical grid.
The consultants were also represented by lawyers Giampaolo Murrighile and Sebastiano Giaquinto, representing the shipowner, and Gabriele Satta and Maurizio Capozzo, representing the Marchionnis.
The 21-year-old's death remains unexplained. Today's data cannot be considered a solution to the case, but it is an important factor.
Attorney Gabriele Satta, representing the young victim's family, commented: "We have an important piece of evidence; now we await comparison with the results of the ongoing toxicology tests." The investigation continues with a new significant fact.
