48 hours after the seizure of the Villa Joy property and pending the Tempio Magistrate's Court's decision on the measure, the Tavolara Bay company has issued a statement.

The Sardinian-Brazilian real estate company, owner of the building and promoter of several projects in the Cala Finanza and Lu Bagnu areas (Porto San Paolo), explains: "The Company has acknowledged the seizure order and is cooperating fully with the competent authorities, providing the necessary documentation and technical support. The disputes raised are currently being investigated and will be promptly clarified by the relevant authorities. In managing the Villa Joy complex, Tavolara Bay has relied on qualified professionals and has operated in accordance with the applicable administrative titles and jurisdictional provisions , including Single Authorization no. 74/2026, issued by the ZES Mission Structure at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, and the precautionary measures adopted by the Regional Administrative Court of Sardinia." Indeed, even in the investigation documents, reference is made to the Single ZES Authorization, under which Tavolara Bay operated before its revocation.

The real estate company elaborates: "The Company has adopted organizational measures to ensure compliance with the limits established by these documents and, in particular, the rules for private and invitation-only use recognized by the administrative judge, without indiscriminate public access. Tavolara Bay also reiterates that it has honored the commitment made in the administrative judgment not to carry out, during the 2026 season, the ZES project interventions relating to glamping, trails, camping sites, and further land transformations ." This is one of the most sensitive and controversial points of the case, because, according to the prosecutors, Villa Joy and the connected prefabricated buildings were used as a single tourist accommodation facility.

The final issue concerns a presumed archaeological site in the area under investigation. Tavolara Bay states: "Regarding the archaeological aspects, the Company specifies that, prior to the investigations currently underway, it had not received any formal notification regarding the presence of archaeological finds in the affected areas, nor was it aware of any previous discoveries . This aspect will also be addressed with the utmost transparency and with the necessary technical and specialized support. Tavolara Bay confirms that it acted in accordance with the law, in good faith, relying on the documents and provisions available at the time, in compliance with administrative procedures, and with the assistance of qualified professionals. The Company will continue to cooperate loyally with the competent authorities, reserving any appropriate action to protect its rights and position."
