Fear late yesterday evening in Cagliari due to a loud roar heard in Mulinu Becciu.

A large tree, around 11 pm, crashed to the ground in a courtyard in via Tintoretto.

The fire brigade and local police officers intervened on the spot.

No one was injured but the damage is huge.

"After many reports from the inhabitants about the danger of that pine - says a reader resident in the area -, also because a few years ago its 'twin' collapsed due to a strong storm, no one has taken any action, not even the branches are been pruned. And yesterday it didn't hold up anymore, it didn't have an earthen support in which to sink its roots. Fortunately, at the time of the event, given the time, there were no children who often play in the street and strangely, even parked cars ”.

The railing below was pushed towards the street together with the blocks of the wall: “Whoever came was disconcerted”, continues our reader who also reports the absence of electricity on the other side of the street, which lasted a few hours.

The area has been made safe with barriers.
