A near-tragedy occurred in Porto Torres, where a 70-year-old man was hit on the head by a piece of cornice while he was passing in Via Giordano Bruno.

The accident happened at 7.30pm along one of the roads leading to Corso Vittorio Emanuele, in the central street of the city. A collapse from one of the many dilapidated and uninhabited buildings: a part of the cornice suddenly collapsed hitting the head of the pensioner who, having fallen to the ground in fright, was rescued by the Avis ambulance staff, committed to guaranteeing healthcare in occasion of Festha Manna. Then the 118 ambulance also rushed to the scene, a medicalized Mike, with the healthcare workers who, after having stabilized the 70-year-old, who had a bleeding wound on his head , proceeded to transport him in code red to the civil hospital of Sassari.

The doctors found him to have concussions. The firefighters of the local detachment were also on site to secure the area and cordon off the entire danger zone.
