An arrest and 156 kilos of fireworks seized.

Blitz of the Guardia di Finanza in Cagliari: a 42-year-old from the capital ends up in handcuffs for having set up a stall that sold pyrotechnic products stored in a cellar of the nearby building in the Sant'Elia district.

With the help of the Bomb Disposal and Anti-sabotage Unit of the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri of Cagliari, the Gdf soldiers recovered various pyrotechnic products of categories F3 and F4, i.e. goods that can only be handled by personnel authorized by the Public Security Authority and specialized.

Also found category F2 products which, although free for sale, can only be held in quantities of less than 5 kilos.

“The possible explosion of this material, since it was crammed in narrow places such as cellars, could have constituted a serious danger to the safety of all the tenants of the building above”, the Guardia di Finanza said.

Hence the seizure of the material and the "severe" precautionary measure against the 42-year-old, imprisoned in Uta prison.
