Unfortunately, the official status has arrived: the body of the woman found dead on 5 January in Trieste belongs to Liliana Resinovich. The local press reports it, explaining that the recognition was carried out by his brother.

Liliana Resinovich, 63, retired, disappeared on December 14th. The investigators are now at work to try to shed light on the fate of the woman, a former employee of the Region.

On the morning of the disappearance, “we said goodbye with a kiss” and “nothing particular happened”, her husband, Sebastiano Visintin, 63, former photographer, passionate about bicycles and knives, told the investigators.

We also try to deepen the relationship between the woman and another pensioner, Claudio Sterpin, 82, whom Liliana would have started dating some time ago.

Did she want to leave her husband Liliana? This is one of the questions that the investigators are trying to answer, coordinated by the prosecutor Maddalena Chergia.

From the results of the autopsy exam, however, answers were expected on how Liliana died, whose body was found in the grove of the former psychiatric hospital of San Giovanni in the Friulian capital, wrapped in two plastic bags.

But the findings of the coroner did not fully clarify the mystery. According to what is learned, in fact, Resinovich died of "acute heart failure", but no "trauma from the hand of others capable of justifying the death" was detected.

The Prosecutor Antonio De Nicolo therefore explained that, in order to know the actual cause of death with reliability, it is necessary to wait for the results of the toxicological tests, which will not be available before thirty days and other investigations by the Trieste Flying Squad and

of the Scientific Police. The hypothesized offense therefore remains kidnapping against unknown persons.

But the hypothesis of a suicide is not excluded either.
