Woman found dead in the woods, her husband: "It's a mystery that wears me out"

“This is a mystery that is destroying me. I don't know how to explain ".

With these words Sebastiano Visintin, 72, commented on the tragic death of his wife Liliana Resinovich , the 63-year-old woman found lifeless in a wood near the former psychiatric hospital of Trieste, on whose death investigations are underway, with the investigators who are trying to ascertain whether it is a murder case or if the victim committed suicide.

The 63-year-old was found with a plastic bag around her neck and an empty handbag over her shoulder. Was it the purse that Liliana habitually used? "I have no idea", said the man, adding: "When I saw the photo of the body", during the recognition of the body, "I did not notice if there was something on the shoulder, they told me after. But my gaze, at that moment, was turned only to her ".

"I hope slowly to be able to understand soon - concludes Visintin - from where all this started, from whom and why" - concluded the man - because it is a situation "that wears me out and destroys me".

In these hours the Prosecutor's Office authorized Resinovich's funeral and burial, but not the cremation of the body , to make it possible, in case of need, the exhumation of the body for further analysis.

The funeral will take place in a strictly private form.
