Emilia Romagna is trembling due to the red alert which, due to an exceptional wave of bad weather, is affecting the region . And in Cesena there is growing concern about the overflowing of the Savio river, which has submerged roads and cars.

The rain therefore does not abandon Romagna, with numerous evacuees and floods. Civil protection has been mobilized since yesterday evening, and now attention is skyrocketing for river floods and landslides in the Apennines.

Hardships and panic do not abandon the citizens. Thus, on the indication of the Region to the mayors, the schools will also remain closed tomorrow. "The Savio river is at historical levels never seen before", confessed a few hours ago the vice president of the Region with responsibility for civil protection, Irene Priolo. Then the tragic flood, with the river that invaded the center of the Emilian city, already prepared for the worst. In fact, the Municipality had warned the citizens, recommending that they move away from the embankments, to abandon the ground floors and basements.

Despite the precautions, the alert remains high, with the situation requiring the evacuation by helicopter of some families, residing in the Via Roversano area affected by the flood. These are people who were stuck at home due to water.

In the meantime, the rush of water continues in the city, which has also reached the headquarters of the Red Cross. And now there is growing concern about the level of the river which – going towards the sea, even in the Ravenna area – is rising rapidly.
