Back in trouble Omar Favaro, known as the "boyfriend of Novi Ligure" and protagonist of a crime story that shocked the whole of Italy in February 2001.

Omar was still a minor when he was sentenced to 14 years with his girlfriend Erika De Nardo for stabbing his mother and her little brother to death.

Now 40 years old, Omar is under accusation for violence and threats against his ex-wife and for mistreatment in the family of which a young daughter is also allegedly a victim. Favaro was accused by the Ivrea prosecutor's office (Turin) for episodes that occurred before 2022, especially at the time of the Covid restrictions.

His wife, from whom he has now separated, turned to the carabinieri after having suffered threats and violence in which their young daughter, of whom the couple were arguing for custody, would also be involved. The Ivrea prosecutor's office has requested a precautionary measure which the investigating judge has not granted, however, the case is now on the table of the Review Court and the investigations continue.

Assisting Omar is Lorenzo Repetti, the same lawyer who followed him for the Novi Ligure crime: «His past - says the lawyer - has nothing to do with it but it continues to persecute him and must not be exploited as instead one is trying to do in a story that coincidentally arises during a separation lawsuit where the custody of the daughter is under discussion ».

Already in 2016, Omar was sentenced to four months for bodily harm to a Milanese journalist who had tried to interview him in a bar in Acqui Terme (Alessandria), where he worked after serving his sentence for the murder.
