False declarations to obtain undue citizen income: Riccardo Bossi, eldest son of the founder of the Lega Umberto, was sentenced to two years and six months in the first instance with an abbreviated trial.

The sentence pronounced today by the Gup of the court of Busto Arsizio (Varese) Veronica Giacoia. The public prosecutor Nadia Calcaterra, who coordinated the investigations, had requested a sentence of two years and 4 months. The judge established a provisional sum of 15 thousand euros against the INPS .

According to investigators, between 2020 and 2023, the son of the Senator founder of the Northern League unduly collected the citizen's income . In front of the prosecutor, Bossi had availed himself of the right to remain silent in the past.

According to the reconstruction by the prosecutor Calcaterra, Bossi jr received 280 euros each month for 43 months for a total amount of 12,800 euros. The payment of the citizen's income was linked to the rent of an apartment. An apartment from which, however, when the investigators began the investigations, Bossi had already been evicted for a year as a defaulter, therefore for not having paid the rent. Hence the dispute. And today the conviction in the first instance. (Unioneonline)
