Breakthrough in the investigation into the truck driver killed in Seiano (Prato) during a robbery . The police arrested two men suspected of the murder: they are two Pakistanis aged 30 and 22 who had working and economic relationships with the victim.

Harpal Singh, a 59-year-old originally from India and resident in Gonzaga, in the province of Mantua, was an employee of a transport company. He was not just a driver but had a trusted position to purchase and pay for the goods taken from the Chinese fast fashion companies in Prato and then exported abroad.

The last trip with the truck full of clothes would be to Germany.

He was circulating with many thousands of euros, to make payments and negotiate the price if necessary. On Friday afternoon the 59-year-old was attacked before setting off towards the north. His son, who had accompanied him to help him, waited for him for a couple of hours near the truck where the goods - boxes and packages - were loaded and collected with a van from the chosen companies. They had divided the tasks. The young man was guarding the truck, the father went around with the van to the companies with which there were commercial contacts and collected the goods, essentially low-priced clothes made by Chinese workers. Then he dumped her in the truck and left for Prato.

The robbers almost certainly followed him, followed by the attack and stabbing murder. But they were filmed by surveillance cameras and, despite there being no eyewitnesses, the police identified them within a few hours.

The two arrested were taken to prison in Prato.
