Anti-terrorism operation by the State Police. Two Pakistanis in prison
Two suspected jihadists aged 22 and 20 arrested during an anti-terrorism operation by the State Police, coordinated by the Brescia Public Prosecutor's Office - District Anti-Mafia Directorate.
This is a Pakistani citizen and a naturalized Italian of Pakistani origin: both were taken to prison after a raid by agents of the Digos of Brescia and the Central Directorate of the Prevention Police.
The investigations began in October 2022, based on intelligence evidence and elements acquired during web monitoring.
According to what was ascertained by the investigators, the two suspects disseminated jihadist content online for proselytizing purposes, attributable to the terrorist organizations Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Islamic State and Al-Qaeda.
