The case has caused a stir in recent days due to the severity of the injuries and the hospitalization required for a thirteen-year-old beaten by the father of an opposing soccer player. Now, sporting sanctions have also been imposed for the brawl that broke out at the end of an Under-14 match between Volpiano Pianese and Carmagnola, played just outside Turin on Sunday, August 31st .

The Volpiano Pianese goalkeeper, who was beaten by the parent of a rival team player, and a Carmagnola player involved in a brawl following the Under-14 match in the Super Oscar soccer tournament, have been handed a one-year suspension . This was the decision of sports judge Roberta Lapa of the National Amateur League. The suspension was imposed due to "the severity of the violent conduct by very young boys, which undermines the sound principles of sport."

The Volpiano goalkeeper has been suspended until September 4, 2026, because, at the end of the match, he " engaged in violent and unsportsmanlike conduct, starting a fight and striking an opposing player on the pitch with slaps and punches . This conduct gave rise to a further act of violence committed by a person not listed on the team sheet, who arbitrarily and unlawfully entered the pitch."

The same sanction was imposed on Carmagnola's opponent, who "engaged in violent and unsportsmanlike conduct by actively participating in a fight started by his opponent, punching a player from the opposing team in the back of the head . This behavior increased the animosity among those present on the pitch, encouraging the entry onto the pitch of a person not listed on the team sheet."

A Volpiano official, the goalkeeper's father , was also suspended until March 2026 "because, as a club representative, instead of intervening to calm the situation, he engaged in violent behavior, physically assaulting a person not listed on the team sheet who had entered the pitch ." Fines of €200 were imposed on Paradiso Collegno, the host club, for failure to supervise, and €150 were imposed on Carmagnola and Volpiano Pianese for strict liability in the brawl. Both clubs were excluded from the tournament.
