After over twenty years of teaching she decides to come out and shows up in class with her new gender identity. It happens in Ivrea, at the historic Botta high school, where the Latin teacher Andrea Perinetti, on the first day of school, introduced himself to the class as Professor Perinetti.

61 years old, a former high school student, after more than twenty years of teaching, the teacher has decided to make her new gender identity public because "kids deserve sincerity".

Not an easy step, as told in an interview taken by news agencies. "It was a pain - explains Andrea Perinetti - and now that for a couple of years I have started my transition path I have decided to talk about it to everyone and to show myself for what I am".

"The new generations are much more open - says the teacher - and just thinking of the children, who in this phase of life are looking for their identity, I decided that I had to be authentic".
