The first Via Silvio Berlusconi arrives in Italy.

The municipality of Portofino (Genoa) will name a street after the former prime minister. The Giunta formalized it with a resolution approved yesterday which also identified the road, it is the walk that leads from the center to Villa dell'Olivetta.

The naming will take place on 29 September, a date that is not accidental because it would have coincided with the 87th birthday of the Cav.

The Municipality of Portofino will now ask the Prefect of Genoa for a derogation to surpass the rule which provides that at least ten years must pass after the death in order to name a street after the deceased person. The initiative was also supported by the president of the Liguria Region Giovanni Toti, who commented on the news on Facebook.

«One of the first streets dedicated to President Silvio Berlusconi will be in Portofino, the village to which the Knight has always been linked and where today - wrote Toti - his son Pier Silvio lives with his family. The promenade that goes from the center to Villa dell'Olivetta, the President's first residence in Portofino, will bear his name. His holidays, his favorite restaurant, the chats in the square and at the Castle of Paraggi: remembering him here, like this, seemed the right thing to do. And this road, which we will inaugurate with Mayor Viacava on 29 September, the date of his birthday, will forever be the sign of the special bond between Berlusconi and Liguria».
