"What has emerged so far from the autopsy tests consolidates our theses, namely that Purgatori would have been affected by cerebral ischemia ".

This is a first version from the lawyers of the family of the journalist Andrea Purgatori, who died on 19 July last, who however later denied it, specifying that since next 6 September new expert reports are expected, a further step in the investigations already underway, «only after the At the end of the autopsy operations, it will be possible to confirm or deny any investigative hypothesis, including ischemia".

Among the hypotheses advanced following the complaint of the family members there would be that of septic pericarditis, which could have been the cause of the worsening of Purgatori's conditions, who had been diagnosed with lung cancer and - by some doctors - the spread of brain metastases.

The prosecutors of the Rome Public Prosecutor's Office - who have opened a file involving two doctors of the Roman clinic Pius XI under investigation for manslaughter - have already heard some people and several others, including doctors and acquaintances of the reporter, will be heard in the next few days to retrace the last months of his life and the course of his illness.
