Mohamed Gaaloul, the 29-year-old Tunisian under investigation for the murder of Alice Neri , was arrested in France, on the border with Switzerland.

He is the main suspect in the crime. The 32-year-old was found charred in her car in Fossa di Concordia, in the Modena area, last November 18 .

The carabinieri investigating the matter had identified him after numerous interrogations and following the viewing of images from some video surveillance cameras.

The man had gone abroad the day after the crime : other people, the victim's husband and a Sardinian friend and work colleague were initially investigated for the murder .

The Sardinian was among the last to meet Alice in a bar , which is why he was among the suspects at the beginning: but the Tunisian was also present in that same place. It is speculated that Gaaloul boarded the victim's car and directed her to the place of death. It is not clear why, it does not appear that the two knew each other previously.

The Tunisian must answer for murder and destruction of a corpse, he is irregular in Italy and the recipient of an expulsion order.
