Ten-year-old boy slips off the cliff and dies

Tragedy in Augusta, in the province of Syracuse.

A 10-year-old boy from Catania died falling from the rocks while walking along a rocky ridge in the Costa Saracena area.

According to an initial reconstruction by the police, the child's family had decided to spend the festive day in a villa in the area.

After lunch, the child would have decided to go on a little excursion: while walking near the sea he would have lost his balance and would have slipped. The alarm was immediate but the rescue was unfortunately useless.

The Prosecutor's Office of Syracuse has decided not to carry out the autopsy.
