Stabbed and killed in the street at 37: the killer did not know her
The man, 28, was identified thanks to video surveillance cameras. To understand the motive, it seems a raptus
Stopped the man who yesterday in Vittoria, in the Ragusa area, stabbed a 37-year-old woman, Brunilda Halla , originally from Albania.
It is a 28 year old from Ragusa apparently with psychic instability problems . Investigators found that he did not know the victim.
The footage recorded by the cameras in the area captured everything: the man was about to cross the street when, perhaps out of the corner of his eye, he saw the woman at the door of the house. He came back and went with the knife in his hand, hitting her several times in the shoulders, neck and in the direction of the shoulder blades . Then he ran away.
The femicide took place in the area between via Adua and via Tenente Alessandrello . During the night the carabinieri had identified him, tracked him down and led him to the barracks .
THE INTERROGATION - "He is a problematic man, he confessed to the murder which should be accidental because we have not found previous contacts between him and the victim", said the prosecutor of Ragusa, Fabio D'Anna .
The suspect, who "immediately denied any wrongdoing", the Arma military explained in a note, "later, probably marked by the weight of the gesture, asked to be questioned by the magistrate to make a full confession" . To the replacement Francesco Riccio, the 28-year-old, "assisted by his lawyer, provided a complete reconstruction of what had been accomplished, allowing the carabinieri to find the knife used , which he had discarded immediately after the murder, and a shirt he was wearing" and which he had taken off to try not to be identified. Now the 28-year-old is in prison .
Brunilda Halla, known as Bruna, was married and had two children .
