After an argument, her friend stole her purse containing her phone and, in revenge, posted a video on social media showing her in private situations. This happened to Anna Lou Castoldi, 25-year-old daughter of Asia Argento and Morgan, who filed a theft report.

Investigations by the Naples Railway Police led to the cell phone's location at the Naples train station, where the man was also found, apparently in a state of confusion. It was Asia Argento who raised the alarm, having noticed the images on Instagram and unsuccessfully attempted to contact her daughter. She then contacted the State Police, who were able to geolocate the phone, along with the bag in the man's possession.

The police first took him to the hospital to hand him over to medical staff and then reported him for revenge pornography, theft, and unauthorized computer access. According to what has been reconstructed so far, the theft occurred in a hotel in the Licola area, in the northern hinterland of Naples. The man then left for the Piazza Garibaldi area, where he was found in a state of confusion. During his trip to Naples, he allegedly posted the video, reportedly after arguing with the 25-year-old.
