Sprint cyclist ends up against the public in the amateur race: he dies 40 years old

Tragedy yesterday during a cycling race for amateurs in Castelfidardo , in the province of Ancona.
In the final phase of the Trofeo Comune di Castelfidardo, a cyclist ended up against the public , investing the technical director of one of the teams, Viris Vigevano. The 40-year-old, Stefano Martolini , was on the side of the road and died.
The cyclist, a 23-year-old from Friuli, was also seriously injured in the impact. He suffered a trauma to his lower limbs and is hospitalized in Torrette hospital.
According to what has been reconstructed, the accident occurred while sprinting in the last stretch to reach the finish line, about 300 meters from the finish line. Technician and cyclist were rescued by 118 and the helicopter ambulance arrived, but unfortunately there was nothing to do for the first.
