His ex-wife's commitment (and money) enabled him to graduate and get a good job, while she gave up in her industry at higher levels of employment.

For this reason, the man will now have to pay the ex-spouse a monthly divorce allowance of 250 euros.

This was established by the Court of Cassation regarding the request of a Modenese woman to obtain a check from her ex-husband to rebalance what she did for the family.

When the two were married (the marriage lasted two years) she worked in the textile sector, as a worker, and he was a university student. After the birth of the second child came the consensual separation, in 1979.

The woman took care of her two children without asking for financial aid from her ex-husband, who in the meantime has made a career as an engineer. Three years ago, with the divorce, the woman's request arrived, now definitively accepted by the Supreme Court, which rejected the ex-husband's appeal.
