Don Antonio Mazzi , an Italian educator and activist, committed to drug rehabilitation and founder of the Exodus Foundation , has died. The Foundation has confirmed his death.

Mazzi passed away today at the age of 96 in his historic home in Milan's Parco Lambro.

The funeral will take place in the Basilica of Sant'Ambrogio, while the chapel of rest will be set up and open to all, without formalities, "just as he liked" , at the historic Exodus headquarters, Cascina Molino Torrette, in the Lambro Park in Milan (pedestrian entrance), where it all began and where he always lived.

"It will not be a formal ceremony, but a living liturgy, animated by the songs, music, and words of the children and educators from all the Exodus organizations in Italy and around the world," Exodus explains. The burial will take place privately at the Abbey of Maguzzano (Brescia), in the cemetery of the Opera Don Giovanni Calabria.
