The ordeal experienced last night by six young scouts, caught in the dark and disoriented in the woods of Fontanaluccia, in the municipality of Frassinoro in the province of Modena , ended on a high note. All the boys have been located, rescued, and are safe.

The alarm was raised in the late afternoon , prompting immediate emergency response. Firefighter teams, dispatched promptly from the Frassinoro and Pievepelago stations, responded to the scene.

Given the complexity of the wooded area and the urgency of locating the group before nightfall, the operations center also called in the Bologna helicopter, which was essential for overflying the area and speeding up the search. Spotted from above in a dense wooded area near Fontanaluccia, the six scouts were recovered by operators using the onboard winch, given the impossibility of landing among the trees.

Once secured, they were transferred aboard the aircraft to a nearby soccer field, designated as a collection point for emergency operations. Here, 118 medical personnel performed all the necessary medical checks. Fortunately, none of the six scouts suffered injuries or adverse health consequences. They all returned home safe and sound.
