For the death of Carlo Manca, the Prosecutor of Genoa has asked for it to be dismissed.

The 48-year-old from Capoterra was the victim of a tragic accident at work in the Sigemi mineral oil depot in San Quirico: according to the reconstruction carried out that day, November 10, 2021, he was moving pipes, about 10 meters long, when one of these he slipped off the easel and crushed it.

Missing, who was wearing a helmet, had no escape.

From the investigations made by the Asl3 inspectors there would be no responsibility for the employer, the site manager or the crane operator. For this reason, the public prosecutor Arianna Ciavattini has asked for the file to be dismissed.

The worker's family members, on the other hand, have opposed it and the discussion hearing before the judge for preliminary investigations is scheduled for early July, who will have to decide whether to accept the prosecutor's request or whether to order further investigations.

The affair had shocked Capoterra, who Manca left periodically in search of job opportunities as a traveller.
